What the Job Is Really About
This isn't just plumbing - it's a hybrid role combining technical installation knowledge, system design & specification, customer facing sales, and site surveying.
You'd be acting as a trusted expert who visits homes and businesses, recommends heating solutions, quotes jobs, and sometimes helps deliver or oversee installations.

Core Work Areas:
You'll be dealing heavily with modern and renewable heating systems, including air-to-water heat pumps, underfloor heating systems, thermodynamic systems, wood pellet boilers, solid fuel & oil systems, and stove installations.
A big focus is retrofitting (upgrading existing homes), not just new builds.

Key Responsibilities:
Visit sites and assess heating needs, design systems and prepare quotes, explain technical solutions clearly to customers, coordinate with builders and trades, handle some sales and upselling, attend sales meetings and track performance, and stay up to date on new technologies.

In short: you're part engineer, part consultant, part salesperson.

Requirements:
Essential: Plumbing qualification, very strong experience (minimum 10 years), ability to plan pipework and estimate jobs, full driver?s licence, and good communication and basic computer skills.
Nice to have: Heat pump or renewable experience and F-Gas certification.

Work Conditions:
Monday to Friday with a good work-life balance. Work mainly around Kerry. Company van and fuel card provided.
